If you are experiencing issues when using the School VPN from home, please follow the steps below.
- Shutdown the laptop. (We find that users aren’t shutting their laptops down at the end of the school day, instead just closing the lid which puts them into standby mode, sometime confusing the WiFi when reconnecting at home.)
- Boot up your laptop. Once booted up before logging in, give it a minute for your home Wi-Fi to connect up to your laptop. (logging in before your Wi-Fi has had chance to acquire a connection may cause your connection to fail or your shared drives not to connect properly.)
- Login into the VPN
From your login screen select “Sign in options” and click the VPN icon and login with your normal school credentials.
- Open My Computer and check you have your shared drives.
